This Jaguar Tracking itinerary is intended for a maximum  of 4 persons. The wildlife in the region of Porto Jofre is  fantastic and you have a very good chance of observing the  elusive and impressive Jaguar. While tracking down the  jaguars, you can see other interesting wildlife such as  monkeys, giant river otters, and numerous bird species
 from our equipped boat.

Our knowledge of the Pantanal  allows us to take you to the best areas for full  appreciation of the wild environment and a greater chance  to see the jaguar in the wild. To find jaguars we use an  indigenous instrument (esturrador), made of bamboo to a  make sound like the jaguars roar. Most of the visitors  who stay for five or more days will see a jaguar in the
Porto Jofre area or near by.

While we can’t promise that you will  see one, we do guarantee that you will see other  breathtaking wildlife during your stay. Smaller cats such  as the ocelot, as well as tapir, giant anteater, peccary,  foxes howler monkey, caiman and hundreds of bird species,  are regularly seen there.

They are truly wonderful animals to observe.  Later,  we will teach you how to fish for piranhas and whatever we catch, we will eat for lunch along with other fish, chicken, beef, rice, beans, fruits, and vegetables.  After lunch we will drive to the next lodge (Pousada Puma), check-in and take a walk in the surroundings of the lodge to search for Hyacinth Macaws.  Dinner followed by night safari.  Because this is a very wild area we may have a chance to see the elusive felines. Overnight at the lodge (Pousada  Puma).(B,L,D)
