ITINERARY


The following itinerary encompasses a 6D/5N tour exclusively at the Pantanal Jaguar Camp. Each day will be spent aboard a comfortable and well-equipped boat with an expert naturalist guide or biologist, cruising the beautiful rivers of the Porto Jofre region in search of jaguars and other wildlife species. At Pantanal Nature, we have dedicated years to observing jaguars in their natural habitats, ensuring a strong record of success in locating these majestic creatures for our guests during these special tours. Day 1 - CUIABÁ/JAGUAR CAMP

Picking up from Cuiabá in the early morning, we'll transfer to the Pantanal. The tour starts with a journey on the Transpantaneira Road – the entrance to the Pantanal's captivating fauna and flora. Upon arrival at the lodge, lunch will be served. In the early afternoon, embark on an exclusive jaguar-searching boat trip with our expert boatman and guide, focusing on various wildlife encounters, with a primary emphasis on jaguars and river otters. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge. (LD)
 
 

Day 2 - JAGUAR CAMP

Early morning breakfast is followed by a boat ride in the best area in the world for watching jaguars in the wild, searching for signs of recent jaguar activity on the river banks. After lunch, return to the boat to continue searching for the mighty big cat and other interesting wildlife such as Capybaras, Black Howler Monkeys, Iguanas, Caimans, and various bird species. Return to accommodations after sunset. The Pantanal is famed for its dramatic sunsets – a photographer’s delight! Dinner and overnight stay at the Jaguar Camp. (BLD)

 


 
 
 

Day 3 - JAGUAR CAMP

After an early breakfast, embark on a boat ride in a prime location with the highest density of jaguars and frequent jaguar sightings in the entire Pantanal. Appreciate the diverse birdlife and other wildlife species that inhabit the jaguars' territories. Take a break for lunch and a short rest. In the afternoon, continue the boat trip, exploring for more wildlife species until sunset. Overnight stay at the lodge. (BLD)

 

Day 4 - Jaguar Camp

 
After breakfast, embark on a boat trip to maximize the chances of encountering various animal species and increasing the likelihood of observing jaguar activities. The longer you stay, the more opportunities you have to witness jaguar behavior. Enjoy lunch, and in the afternoon, focus on seeking out other fascinating wildlife species. Dinner and overnight stay at Jaguar Camp. (B, L, D)
 

Day 5 - Jaguar Camp

Today, following breakfast, our boat ride will take you further up the Cuiabá River. Most of the day will be devoted to exploring this remote region, which is an excellent spot for observing wildlife and nature. A lunch break will be accompanied by another river safari in search of the mighty big cat and other fascinating wildlife. Return to the lodge after sunset. Dinner and overnight at the lodge. Day 6 - Jaguar Camp / Cuiabá

After an early breakfast, embark on our final river safari in a prime location with the highest density of jaguars and jaguar sightings in the entire Pantanal. After lunch, transfer to Cuiabá. Drop off at the airport or a city hotel based on the client's preference. End of our services. (B, L) (B = Breakfast / L = Lunch / D = Dinner).

IMPORTANT 

Note: Please be aware that the above itinerary is a suggested plan, and the described activities may be subject to alterations based on weather conditions, the group's interests, or circumstances beyond our control. Our groups typically consist of a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 7 guests. If you prefer a private or custom-made tour, kindly inform us.
 

Attention: We recommend scheduling an early morning flight to Cuiabá or considering an overnight stay at a city hotel. This allows us to arrange an early departure to the Pantanal. The journey to the Jaguar Camp lodge from Cuiabá takes approximately 5 hours, with departures usually set between 6 am and 7 am. On the last day, the return to Cuiabá is around 6 pm, so plan your return flight accordingly.
 

What to bring: Lightweight pants, jeans, T-shirts, long-sleeve shirts, shorts, extra socks and underwear, sandals, walking shoes or tennis shoes, windbreaker/light rain jacket, sun hat, flashlight, sunscreen, insect repellent, binoculars, camera, film, and extra batteries.
Sweatshirts or sweaters are recommended from June to October.


Important: Bring your own reusable water bottle; Jaguar Camp is committed to sustainability, making it convenient for you to avoid plastic by providing free potable water for your own bottle.
