Ailton Lara



Ailton Lara was born in Cuiaba, Mato Grosso, Brazil and has been guiding nature tours in the Pantanal since 1999.

 
   




After several years of working as a tour guide, Ailton recognized that he a had a unique view of eco-adventure tours that he wanted to share with others, leading him to create his own agency.



 

     
   

 

His main goal is to show the Pantanal to those who love nature and enjoy adventure and good company at the same time.
   


Given his intimate knowledge of the area, Ailton knows the best hotspots and places for successful wildlife viewing. He has an extensive knowledge of flora and fauna unique to the Pantanal widerness and he helps participants in each tour to not only enjoy and keep track of all they see, but also to become more fully informed about the animals and their behavior. Ailton has also conducted several tours in the southern Amazon rain forest. Ailton speaks t English, Spanish and Portuguese.
